Noel Gallagher likes reading bad reviews of other people`s bands
The High Flying Birds frontman enjoys the British music press when they are at their most brutal, especially when it`s not one of his own projects they are writing about.
He told NME magazine: "I tell you what`s nice is reading s**t reviews of other band`s records. You read it and go, `Yes. You f***ers! Let`s have a laugh at that.`
"I`m not gonna say who, because they`re f***ing friends of mine, but there was a really brutal one a while back, and I was like, `Yeah, true that.`"
Noel, 45, also particularly enjoys reading what his estranged brother Liam - who hasn`t spoken to him personally since an argument in 2009, which caused the end of their band Oasis - has to say about him when he`s interviewed in magazines.
He added: "I still buy NME when Liam`s on the front - because I know he`ll be s***ging me off. There was a point where [his band] Beady Eye were out, but I wasn`t doing anything. Liam was on the cover of NME every few weeks, basically saying, `Noel`s a ****`.
"I`d go into the newspaper shop and my two Asian mates would be reading it under the counter, they`d say, `You come for this?` and I`d see them wincing.
"Then they`d say, `It`s not a good one. I don`t think he likes you very much.`
"I`d reply, `Yeah. I don`t think he likes anyone very much.`"
